"This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant with those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. I, the servants, the helpers and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens and, by God! Resist anything that displeases. There should be compulsion on them. Its judges should not be removed from their posts, nor their monks from their monasteries. No one should destroy your temple, damage it or take anything to the homes of Muslims. Who do destroy God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Truly, they are my allies and have my safe conduct against all that hate. No one should force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. Muslims must fight for them. If a Christian is married to a Muslim, this should not happen without her approval. It should not be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be protected. Are not prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one in the nation (Muslims) should disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world). "[1]
