You only say that it is disputed matter so how can a disputed matter will become Sirat e Mustaqeem.
Some one is wrong and some one is right.
It must be decided.
So just let us know what you have got for the truth of your opinion and then we will let you know.
Sirat e Mustaqeem is Just like a "Habal" a rope. It is in Quran that O Muslims hold together the rope of Allah and do not divide yourself.
The definition of a rope is that it has a beginning and an ending.
Just like many pieces of iron are joined together and it can be called a rope, and same if the people are joined together by hand in hand they will also form a shape of rope, and it will also bring the solution of Sirat e Mustaqeem.
We can take you to the end of the rope till our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wassalam.
Where is your rope going?
Just think on it, and then tell anything.
Secondly if something is disputed then the opposite persons has the right to say what is truth and is in favor of them.

Jawad ul haq - brother i m saying the same thing u think u r right but they say they are.They will never accept you coz the think u r wrong and u will also not accept their point of view.So we should take ourself out of these SECTS coz West use these tools to divides us ....

And if the reason you are telling is accepted then I think our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallalaho Alaihe Wassalam should have stop preaching Islam since the whole world was laughing.
And to join Hands the wrong ones will have to stop doing wrong, not the right one to stop doing right.
So first please make it clear who is wrong and who is right then come and join hands.
As far as respect concern it is in the hand of Allah.
